The Magician
The Upright Meaning
There are primal forces around you at work. And they are within your control
to command. Your life is in control and you are holding the reins. Trust
your choices and act on them now. Belive in yourself and you will not fail.
The Reverse Meaning
Primal forces are in play. You can reach out with your abilities and grab
hold of your destiny. Your choices before you are strong and filled with
power, yet with the Magician in the reversed position, you hesitate to act
on the decisions that you know to be right. Take hold of your destiny my
friend and do what you know to be right.
The Singular Meaning
The Magician is the archetype of the active masculine principle. He
holds the symbolisim of power and the ability to tap into the universal
forces around him. Notice the stance of the image. He acts as a
lightning rod, one arm extended upward into the divine, though this he
gains inspieration. The other arm points to the great mother Earth, to
ground is potent energies. He is unafraid to act, he belives in himself
and is willing to put that belief on the line. He knows what he intends
to do and why. He is always in full understanding of his situation and
willing to act to affect it. The Magician implies the awareness of the
primal forces around you.
