The Wheel of Fortune

The Upright Meaning
Change of fortune (usually for the better). New opportunities. The start of
a new cycle. Advancement, improvement. Desire and ability to take risks.
Ability to remain focused and centered despite changes in the environment.
Capability for emotional detachment; not overly attached to any object,
lifestyle, or circumstance. Ability to effect change.
The Reverse Meaning
Wishful thinking and dreams, but no practical action to make things happen.
Waiting for external forces to take action. Hesitation, indecision, and a
general feeling of loss of control over a situation. Resistance to change.
Help (fortune) from outside sources and thus, only temporary relief.
The Singular Meaning
The Wheel of Fortune represents fortune and luck. This is the card of a
risk taker who is willing to gamble on an opportunity and will turn that
opportunity quickly to his or her advantage. This card will also represent
the only consistancy in life: Change. Regardless of the current situation,
it is important to remember that it is not forever. The wheel will turn and
the cycle will chance and all that is in place now, will eventually pass
away giving birth to something new.
