Have you ever wanted to make your own perfumes? Something unique that is all yours and no one else has? Well now you can. Here we will show you the basics of perfume making using all natural methods.
Most people think that making perfume is very hard. It is, in fact, quite easy. Only a few ingredients are required and it does not take you a lot of time. You will find that if you try this technique, you will not only get the reward of knowing that you made the scent yourself, but you will have an original perfume that can not be duplicated by another. You will get a great measure of satisfaction when an admirer asks you what it is and where you can buy it.
There are only 3 ingredients that you will need to make your own scent:
- Essential Oils (NOT infusions)
- Pure Grain alcohol OR Vodka
-Distilled Water
There are three types of essential oils. In perfume making, they are called "notes".
Base notes: The scent that stays longest on the skin. Examples are cedar, cinnamon, patchouli, sandlewood and vanilla.
Middle Notes: These scents will not last as long as wtih the base notes. Examples of middle notes are clove, geranium, lemongrass, nutmeg and ylang-ylang.
Top notes: These scents evaportate very quickly, such as lavendar or rose.
The MAGICK of perfume:
The best perfumes and the ones that will leave a lasting impression are made from a combination of at least 3 ingredients. One from each of the notes. When you use this method, you will create a scent with an illusion of change though-out the day. Your friends will be amazed.
Method of signature scenting
You will want to use about 30 drops of essential oils to make your perfumes. Divide the drops equally across the three notes. Once you haved mixed them well, add about 2.5 ounces of alcholol. ** Shake the mixuture very well and then let sit in a cool dark place for about 2 days (48 hours). This mixture can sit for up to 6 weeks undisturbed as the alchohol is a preservative. The longer you allow it to sit, the stronger the scent will be. When you are ready to use the scent, add 2 tablespoons of distilled water and shake again. You can dab the scent or use a pump diffuser.
**You can use over the counter alcohol as long as it does not have a scent. Vodka is odorless unlike whiskey or bourbon. Pure Grain is best, but very hard to come by. Do not use rubbing or isopropal alcohol unless you can find it without scent.
These are the most popular scents created by Ancient Pathway:

Blend equal parts, bottle and shake well. |
| Moon Priest Cologne | 1 fl.oz (30cc) lemon verbana or Lime oil 2 fl.oz (60cc) coriander oil 1/2 fl.oz. (15cc) camphor or myrrh oil 1/4 fl.oz. (7cc) white spirit 3 3/4 fl.oz. (105cc) distilled water |
