When it comes to running a venture like Ancient Pathway, the questions are sometimes serious, sometimes fun and sometimes, they just leave us standing there in awed silence. 1. Can you give me a spell for (This or than..)? or Can you send me spells?
Education is the best spell that there is, however if you have a specific need, Ancient Pathway can put together a spell kit for you. We have a few that are generic for worship or general ritual use. If you would like a spell kit made for you, please see our contact information. Keep in mind that spells to bend the mind/will or to cause harm will never be distributed by Ancient Pathway.
2. How do I become a witch?
The only answer to this question is time. To become a witch is a personal journey that takes many years. You can not just wake up one morning at state to the powers that be that you are a witch and expect that you will be filled with the power of the Goddess. Time and study are the keys. Even though there are those that would argue the point, my studies include not only our past, but the future, psychology and science. All these things together will give you a greater understanding of the world around you. You can find many fine books in the Ancient Pathway Shop which will help you to find your path.
3. How do I get my powers?
In my history within the craft, I have been asked this question many times, and I have finally come up with an answer that does not offend the asker. Powers are a state of mind. Many young (or new) witches feel that there will be a time when they will raise their hands and the world will immediatly bend to their wills. Though this is possible on some rare occasions, the powers that we gain as witches are mainly the ability to understand and use the world around us. For instance, the most powerful LOVE spell out there is something that most of us already know, the use of chocolate, poetry and music. There is nothing more powerful that I have found. But this is not magick, this is common sense. The powers that you are looking for, may simply be on television. And once you have gained the knowledge of the witch, you will no longer be looking for those illusive powers.
4. Where can I buy witchcraft supplies?
This question is amusing when I am asked. If you have arrived at Ancient Pathway by use of a referral or search engine, the first link that you will find from the main page is the Shopping Links. 5. Are there stores/covens/classes where I live?
You will find local events, classes and meetings simply by looking closely. Some of my best friends I have met in public places, simply by keeping my eyes open. You can see that many people will wear talismans or totems, watching for these tokens can give you an excuse to start a conversation. Classes and meetings are many times advertised in local newspapers.
6. Where can I buy a Book of Shadows?
A book of Shadows is a personal journal. It will contain information about your personal travels within the world of witchcraft. Though you can use a computer, or even a blank bound journal to creator your personal Book of Shadows, you can also make your own. We will soon post information on how you can do this.
