Shooting for the moon

When you and I came together not so long ago,
I thought to myself.
“Do I dare dream?”
And now here it is just a few weeks later.
And I know what has happened.
You and I were shooting for the moon.
But that is a goal that we never can reach.
You and I took a shot at the moon.
But all we did was hit a star.
And there is nothing wrong with that,
Because we are here together.
